2014 Retirement Plan Restatement webinar with the VSCPA
Edin Cuskovic and Joseph Wiggins, in coordination with the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA), will host a webinar about the 2014 Retirement Plan Restatement Cycle.
This 1-credit hour course explains in detail the requirements of the defined contribution retirement plan restatement cycle which begins in 2014, and covers what plan sponsors must accomplish in order to maintain IRS approval of plan documents. Since restatement is a requirement and is not optional, the topic is both timely and impactful. The course is not only a step-by-step “how to” instruction, more importantly it reveals why the restatement cycle presents a unique opportunity for business owners/management to reassess plan provisions, implement improvements, take advantage of unique plan design features, and exchange current plan provisions with more favorable alternatives for the purpose of enhancing plan awareness, plan appreciation, and overall plan benefits. And as a bonus, the course will address how thoughtful strategy during document restatement can convert recent Affordable Care Act (ACA) income tax increases into win/win tax-favored retirement savings for Plan Sponsors, Business Owners, Executives, and all other Plan Participants.
This event will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 12:30-1:30pm EST, and qualifies for 1 hour of CPE credit. To learn more or to register, please go to the VSCPA site.
